Anxiety Triggers

Anxiety Triggers cause anxiety, anxious moments, and anxiety attacks. A trigger is a thought generated by a situation, event or something read that then leads a person to become anxious or suffer an anxiety attack. I have found with my experience that these triggers may be linked to a past experience a person has had which is stored in the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is like a recorder of events a person experiences in their life 24/7, 365 days a year. Any thing you do whether good or bad is stored in your sub conscious. Sometimes a bad experience encountered in the past when faced with a similar situation in the near future the person will scan the subconscious for any similar events that had happened and from there on will react in a way depending on this past experience.

Now since we have a small insight about the subconscious mind and how it works an anxiety-trigger can be anything from a situation faced, by smelling a particular smell or an event a person may go to.

Some examples are:

A person running across the road and almost being hit by a car leans by the fence to recover from the near miss where then the person smells bunch of flowers in the garden bed, this experience will now become linked to the smell of the bunch of flowers. In the near future smelling the same smell may remind this person of this experience and may create an anxious moment when faced with something similar.

You are in your car driving when there is an accident and a fire starts in the car in front of you. There is a huge traffic jam and you can’t get away and you worry and go through your own anxious moments while you smell the fire. The next time you are stuck in a traffic jam especially on a bridge and you smell the same type of fire smell (even though there may be no fire) this will trigger you to react and go through an anxious episode in a split second your subconscious scans for any past events and this helps you react in the way you do.

Every person on earth has a responsibility to treat people with dignity and respect. One of the main reasons is that people may cause events or situations, which create the triggers on different people. This is evident when people do harm to others whether mentally or physically.

Anxiety triggers could be a variety of things including:
Change
Relationship Separation
Divorce
Job Change
New Home
Road works in your street
Shopping Centers
Lifts
The City
Cars
Trucks

I can recall during the worst stage of having OCD that many things would trigger the anxiety for me including thought and action based things. One minute I would be fine watching TV for example and the next thing you know something pops up on the TV screen and bang in a split second I start thinking and from there very instantly I either get very anxious where many times it may lead to an anxiety attack. My belief to fix this you need to do healing around past based on what is stored in your subconscious. An ideal therapy is EFT and Hypnotherapy. Once your subconscious is cleared this will enable you to move forward.
