Anxiety Pain »

Anxiety pain varies for different people. One person’s pain may seem massive but when comparing it to other peoples pains from anxiety the comparison of pain levels may be different. During my experience with OCD I had really bad anxiety pain. I can blame myself for this because even though I asked people around me what I was experiencing and was told you will be ok I should have seen a Doctor.

If you have experienced OCD or anxiety you will know each time you have an attack it weakens the mind and body and the more attacks you have the weaker your body becomes mentally and physically. Now imagine in my situation where I was experiencing anxiety attacks on some occasions daily and on a weekly basis for 10 years how weak my body had become. The pain was unbelievable and today I have realised that not only did I stop living for such a long time but I also forgot how it felt like to feel normal. Feeling normal to me means being able to think about anything and doing lots of things without stressing, obsessing and in turn having an anxiety attack.

There were mixed emotions of being scared, stress and mental anguish and suffering. I want you to know if you are going through something similar or have a friend who is they can heal themselves from it if they want to. OCD is not a mental disorder a person has for life. A person has OCD for life only if they choose to only and at the end of the day every person has there free will to live how they please.

As I have explained already in this post I suffered bad anxiety pain so bad that I avoid doing certain things that trigger anxiety. My recovery with OCD started with a full breakdown where I could no longer live, operate and function because my body was missing so much it had lost through the anxiety attacks. I speak more about this here.

Anxiety pain is felt in the stomach with mental stress and worry added into the mix. I hope that people that are going through this experience draw enough courage to do something about it and start enjoying a better life where you can start living once your body has healed from it. To be honest with the amount of pain I was suffering I am not sure if an alternative healing modality could of helped me to get better in my situation. It may also be a belief I have however what helped was seeing a Doctor who prescribed Anafranil.

Conditioning yourself through anxiety »

Conditioning yourself through anxiety is something many people do without realizing and is not a normal practice that should be happening to healthy people. If you are in a position where your able to experience an anxiety attack from a thought or situation I would suggest to start monitoring this behavior because it may be an early sign of OCD in its early terms. My experience with OCD tells me this because I was a person who had experienced many many anxiety attacks each month and after treatment they all disappeared so understand this is not normal behavior.

In the past if I encounter an experience with a particular situation that causes me an anxiety attack I will not put myself in a similar position in the near future. An example of this was my last plane ride. As the plane started to move I had encountered a massive anxiety attack in which it took me two weeks to recover from and my lesson of conditioning was not to hop in a plane again so I do not experience this again.

I automatically presumed it was the plane ride that caused this.

Another example was when I was stuck in a lift where I experienced an Anxiety attack. After this experience I did not hop back into a lift and for 3 years I walked up 15 flights of stairs just to get to work.

Maybe the answer lays within the experiences our soul has stored during past life experiences.

Conditioning yourself through anxiety takes shape in different ways and situations with different people. There could be a thought around a chair that causes an anxiety attack and this person will make sure they don’t put themselves near this chair again just to avoid from having an anxiety attack again because the experience of the anxiety attack is linked to the chair.

The feeling of Anxiety »

The feeling of Anxiety is difficult to describe and I suspect the feeling will be different to different people. An anxiety attack is one of the most disgusting feelings I have experienced in my life. It feels like there is a vacuum hose attached to your back and it sucks your tummy in a twirling motion with a feeling of panic. This is the best way to describe how an anxiety attack feels for me.

Different situations and scenarios cause people anxiety attacks and in return gives a person the feelings of anxiety.

An anxiety attack can happen when traveling in a lift, train, bus or plane or just by smelling a particular smell. This can be triggered with experiences stored in the Sub Conscious mind by the person encountering such an attack.

When I experienced anxiety attacks the first thing I wanted to do was escape from the situation that has caused this just so the attack can stop. If you’re in a plane, bus or train it’s difficult to get out and the only option is to sit and feel the anxiety attack. My last anxiety attack happened when I was in a plane and it happened as soon as the plane started to take off. It destroyed my trip and I was lucky I was holidaying for a month because it took me 2 weeks to recover from this anxiety attack with the help of high dosage Amcal Chemist brand multi-vitamins. I could not of hopped back into the plane during the first two weeks of the trip was my body mentally was out of balance.

I am not familiar with the medical terms but from experience I find each time I experience an anxiety attack it leaves me with a chemical imbalance in the brain. By taking the vitamins it helps to balance this back to where it should be and for me it takes about 2 weeks.

I have not had the chance to test out healing alternatives for Anxiety attacks and if I should experience another attack I can test out a for alternative healing modalities to combat and heal from the anxiety.

Situations that can cause OCD »

Situations that can cause OCD are different for everyone.

I have found that with my experience with OCD there were a number of situations that had caused OCD.

The first was the thought factor. I could be watching the news on the TV and start to worry and obsess about a crime that was committed. I would worry about committing a similar crime and the scarier this thought became (knowing I did not want to commit this crime) the worst the obsession will get which would then end up with an Anxiety attack. I was never going to commit such a crime in the first place but it was the space I was in during this period of time with OCD.

The second for me was the physical factor. I could be having a shower and when I was finished drying myself I would think then obsess if I have washed myself properly then unless I hoped back into the shower I would encounter an Anxiety attack. This was easier to manage because to a point you were in control of the anxiety attacks. If you needed to hop back into the shower to avoid an attack you would do that. Another was washing of the hands and again the amount of washing was to avoid an Anxiety attack. These were patterns that had occurred but needed to be completed to avoid the feelings of Anxiety attacks.

The third was the controlling factor. This is around moving and doing things such as driving a car or going outside. I was fortunate I did not encounter this but the experience would be the same. If a person has OCD issues are germs then this obsessive and compulsive thought can be relayed to outside and the amount of germs there is outside hence it would eventually stop them from leaving the house. Once an attempt was to leave was made then the end result would be an anxiety attack.

Situations that can cause OCD can vary for different people. Anxiety attacks in most situations are the end result of OCD and they are avoided by many people at all cost. This would then mean that certain things will not be done to avoid this such as not going outside or not driving a car.

Monitoring Your Depression »

Monitoring Your Depression can take time to do. If you are aware that you go through depressed moments or if you notice when you get depressed then it will be easy for you to monitor your depression.

When I start to get depressed due to a situation that I was facing I tend to think about what the cause was and what I can do to stop this scenario from happening again. Monitoring your depression can be done a few ways. I do this by observing the situation and how I reacted and what the outcome was.

As human beings we all communicate differently. You will need a process that works with you.

Here are some suggestions in how to monitor your depression.

Visual People – If you’re a person who likes to read and see a monitoring process you can use is to write down your experiences from start to finish and where you will be able to see clearer the patterns that may cause you to be down.

Auditory people – If you’re a person who loves music or loves hearing audio your way of monitoring this would be to use a small voice recorder where you can record your feelings and experiences from start to finish where you will be able to playback and listen to what your speaking about.

Feeling People – I am a feeler and the way I do this process is by thinking and feeling what is going on and how I got to the state of feeling down.

Whatever method you use one that works and I also suggest you do is to write your thoughts in a Journal or Diary. Now and then go back to these writings and there you will see other things that you could not see before.

Depression can be beaten if you take the necessary steps in removing that dark cloud that can send us into a thought zone that is not us but the depression no matter whether it is mild or high.

Dealing with Depression »

Dealing with Depression is one of the hardest things a person will need to deal with. At the age of 39 I am fully understanding the depression that I have encountered in the past, the triggers and how it can corrupt your way of thinking into a real negative. I feel deeply for the younger people of today who have pressures and expectations in which a few may be going through this and some only resort to the only way out they think it exists.

Life is wonderful and there are a stack of tools one can use to help themselves get through this. One key area of depression may be the loss of soul parts either during a major event in this life or in a past life. This event could be anything from a car crash or physical abuse for example.

If things are not looking positive for you or you may be down and spending more time in bed or you know that your going through depression it’s ok to seek help from your Doctor and join a support group so you can chat with and relate to other people going through the same thing you’re going through.

Once you have your depression under control I suggest you look at finding a few things that can help you to get out of it if it occurs again. 10 years ago I went on a search to find something that can help me in which I found a high dosage multivitamin would boost me up after a week or so taking them every time I felt down. Everyone is different so this is up to you to find what works with you. You may find that taking a multivitamin will help or you may also find that Zen Meditation may will help you. In many cases St Johns Wort will also help.

Helping People with Anxiety »

Helping People with Anxiety is an easy thing to do if you understand a few things.

Lets get the facts out of the way first. In truth and I mean no respect to you however if you have never experienced an anxiety attack you would not know how it feels like. This is ok you still can help someone but the first rule is never tell a person going through anxiety they will be ok because it will frustrate them. I remember many people telling me this and it was very annoying to say the least.

The thing people want most is for someone to be there soundboard which means someone that will listen to them as they speak about what they are going through. Be there for them and help them with what they need.

If a person has issues going outside and they have become a recluse there is a reason behind this. OCD starts off small then grows into a huge monster. In this case the reason a person does not want to go outside is being of this situation being the trigger of anxiety.

Many people including myself will stop doing things that may trigger an Anxiety attack. My life for the past 9 years has been wonderful with very minor episodes of Anxiety attacks due to control of these situations. My next challenge when I am ready is to fly again and to see how I cope. Being on a spiritual path and having completed so many wonderful healing sessions on myself I am at the point where my body is ready but I need to get myself mentally ready.

A few other things to remember is that it is ok if someone does not want to move forward from getting better from a situation. A person starts to heal when they are ready not being pushed by another person. Source - Helping people with anxiety.

Guided Meditation for Anxiety »

Guided Meditation for Anxiety is perfect for anyone who is about to do something that may trigger an anxiety attack.

With my experiences I have found that anxiety attacks occur either via thought or a trigger from a past event that you’re going through when it occurs. I am a person that believes in past lives and that our soul has a data bank with all of our experiences stored here in much in some cases Anxiety can occur from.

I will give you an example. I know from my past experiences that when I have an anxiety attack it was because of the thoughts that were running in my head. Back in about 1998 I decided to go with my sister’s family to Queensland, Australia. Everything was fine however as soon as I sat in the plane and the engine started I smelt the fumes and then I had a massive anxiety attack. This was odd because it may have been the fumes or the plane moving that had caused this anxiety attack. In either scenario for the first time it was not my thoughts that caused this.

In July 2007 during a soul retrieval session what came up was that I was a flying Doctor/Healer in the era of Atlantis and that the craft I was traveling smashed. I am yet to travel in a plane again and I will be waiting in anticipation whether I will react in this same way again or not since soul fragments around this were retrieved.

Back to the guided meditation for anxiety session.

This is a simple meditation to do. You commence this meditation session just before you do what will cause you anxiety.

The process is simple if a plane causes you anxiety then before the plane trip do the following:

1. Sit somewhere in quietness.

2. See yourself in the plane.

3. See the plane take off.

4. See the plane land

5. See yourself being already in the place you will visiting.

You can get as visual as you want to during the meditation session.

Use a similar approach to the above for your situation.

Breathe Work for Anxiety »

Breathe Work for Anxiety - Doing breathe work can help you through if you’re experiencing an anxiety attack. I was surprised to learn about this method during a Hypnotherapy session I had booked in Melbourne.

When we were babies we always breathed through our Diaphragm not that I can remember this but observe a baby and see how it breathes.

Breathe work for anxiety

Above is an image of the Diaphragm and as you can see this is the region between your tummy and upper lungs.

Test yourself to see to see how you breathe. If you some from anxiety attacks there is a good chance you’re breathing through your chest not the diaphragm area.

Breathe Exercise

Place your left hand in a flat position over your chest on the right hand side and place your right hand over to the left hand side of your chest. Now take a few breathes in and out. Are your hands moving in and out? If they are moving you’re breathing through your chest not your Diaphragm. Breathing through your Diaphragm helps you to release any toxins in your tummy area that may build up which needs to be released.

At first this will be a little difficult for yo to do but the more you do this exercise the better you will become at it.

Its best if you were standing to complete this exercise.

1. Place your hands on your chest as described above.

2. Take slow breathes in and out and attempt to breathe in through your tummy rather than your chest.

You will need to do this a few times. Once you start to breathe through your Diaphragm you will notice your hands will stop moving. This is the sign that you have done this correctly.

What is Anxiety »

What is anxiety? This for many who are about to read this post is a really good question. My answer to this question is with certain bad past experiences or events a person may have encountered in the past when a situation or thought is recalled back on this experience via the sub conscious mind by certain situations or events that an anxiety attack may be triggered. Some if not most of this can be related with past experiences stored in the sub conscious mind.

It took me personally about 10 years to label something I was experiencing and that had taken control of my life for a long time in which today I have found out what is anxiety. My anxiety was related to OCD and it went something like this. Each time I was in deep thought about something no matter what it was if the thought was terrible then for me it would end up in an anxiety attack. Due to the OCD I was experiencing I was never in control of my thoughts which made things worse.

Having had to deal and experience anxiety attacks myself I have realized that finding others that can relate and understand you can be difficult. I think that unless you have experienced anxiety no matter what your education or profession is it would be very difficult to relate with a person who is dealing the demons of anxiety.

Something like anxiety if not treated correctly can take control over your body to the point where you will only do things that do not cause you anxiety. Living life like this is not really a good way of living so its important to seek proper care and be part of a group of people dealing with the same issue.
